OB GYNs, or Obstetrician-Gynecologists, are doctors who specialize in women’s healthcare. They diagnose, treat, and prevent medical conditions that affect women, and work with expecting mothers throughout their pregnancies, during childbirth, and postpartum.
Orthopaedic surgeons are devoted to the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disorders of the bones, joints, ligaments, tendons and muscles. Some orthopaedists are generalists, while others specialize in certain areas of the body, such as: Hip and knee. Foot and ankle.
Internists routinely see patients with conditions such as heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, obesity, and chronic lung disease. An internist may consult with doctors in other fields of medicine, or may be called to consult on a patient by another specialist.
